MayB ("we," "our," or "us") is a personal event-saving app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in, we collect your email address and name via our authentication provider.
Event data: Events you save, including titles, dates, locations, descriptions, and photos you upload or scan.
Images: Screenshots or photos you upload for event scanning. These are processed by an AI model to extract event details and then stored so your event card displays the image.
Notes: Any private notes you add to saved events. These are visible only to you.
Usage data: Anonymous analytics about how features are used (e.g. how many events scanned, which features are tapped). No personally identifiable information is included in these events.

- To save and display your events and ideas
- To enable event sharing when you choose to share
- To understand how the app is used so we can improve it
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on servers provided by Base44, our application platform. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. Images you upload are stored in secure cloud storage.
4. AI Processing
When you scan a screenshot, the image is sent to an AI model to extract event details (title, date, location, etc.). This processing is performed by our AI provider and the image may be temporarily processed on their servers. We do not use your images to train AI models.
5. Event Sharing
If you choose to share an event, a unique link is generated that allows anyone with the link to view that event's details. You can share this link with friends. We do not publicly list or index shared events.
6. Third-Party Services
MayB uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Base44 — application platform and database hosting
- Google (Gemini) — for AI-powered image scanning to extract event details. View their privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy
These services have their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete individual events at any time within the app. You can also request full account and data deletion (see section 8).
8. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time
To request data deletion, use the "Delete My Data" option in your Profile settings within the app, or contact us directly at the email below.
9. Children's Privacy
MayB is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
